Hi there,

When I pan or rotate the view while the Apply Curve is selected, a massive lag happens, and it seems to be more laggy the more the panel is expanded.

I tried to capture a video but the recording happened at 30 fps, so the difference doesn't seem as apparent as when you're using the software, but it's really annoying.

Hi Danilo,

Thanks for the report.

Unfortunately we were not able to reproduce the problem.
We have approximately the same frame rate whether the node is an "Apply curve" node or another node.

However we noticed some lags when the terrain is big (such as 32000 x 32000) and the user keeps on moving the mouse cursor on the 3D viewport at a fast pace to pan or rotate the camera.

We've just fixed this issue. The fix will be in version 1.10.1 to be released in a few days (not in version 1.10.0 which has just been released today).

Hopefully it will fix your problem.

I've recorded one more video, showing how the ApplyCurve properties tab affects the framerate.

My guess is that it's related to the evaluation function that shows the point on the curve based on the mouse position on the viewport.

We've just released Instant Terra 1.10.1.
You can download it and check if the behavior is better.
